We know that a business only thrives if our people are thriving. That’s why we always put our people first. Our global and diverse team would be happy to support you and challenge you to grow in many ways. Who knows where our joint journey will take you?

Siemens Mobility is dedicated to pioneering the future of transportation. Our dynamic team is always exploring new ways to drive innovation and efficiency in rail. We are searching for forward-thinkers who are eager to challenge themselves and make a tangible impact. If you are passionate about creating sustainable and intelligent transport solutions, we want you on our team.

We’re looking for an EHS Manager to join our team in Goole. As the EHS Manager for the New Bogie Centre, you will be responsible for embedding a robust safety culture from the outset, integrating the construction phase into the long-term cultural and operational foundations of the site. This pivotal role involves setting the safety ethos for a new location and team, ensuring health, safety, and wellbeing are prioritised from day one.

You’ll create an impact by…

  • Leading the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and behavioural expectations during both the construction and operational phases.
  • Ensuring full compliance with CDM (Construction Design and Management) Regulations as the Client, coordinating with all duty holders and overseeing health and safety planning throughout the build.
  • Providing specialist guidance on EHS legislation, industry standards, and corporate governance, seeking input from discipline managers as needed.
  • Supporting project management in planning, implementing, and reviewing EHS contract requirements, and allocate EHS support as necessary.
  • Preparing and communicate regular reports on EHS performance, instigating action for continuous improvement.
  • Advising on health and safety competency and training requirements for the new team, delivering internal presentations and training as required.
  • Lead or support investigations into accidents and incidents, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and sharing learning points to prevent recurrence.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of audits, assessing compliance with ISO, Principal Contractor, and Client requirements.
  • Represent the company at forums, conferences, and meetings, acting as an ambassador for EHS excellence.

Your success will be grounded by…

  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Safety & Health.
  • IEMA Certificate preferred.
  • Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Chartered membership (or working towards) of IOSH.
  • Significant professional experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or construction environment, including management experience.
  • In-depth understanding of CDM and its application in a railway/construction context.
  • Experience with ISO Certified Management Systems.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
