Proposal Specialist
We empower our people to stay resilient and relevant in a constantly changing world. We’re looking for people who are always searching for creative ways to grow and learn. People who want to make a real impact, now and in the future. Does that sound like you? Then it seems like you’d make a great addition to our vibrant international team as a Proposal Specialist.
You'll Make a Difference By:
- Lead Bid Strategy & Assessment: Thoroughly review Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Proposals (RFPs) to understand all technical, commercial, and contractual requirements. Coordinate with sales, engineering, and management to define winning bid strategies, including scope, technical solutions, pricing, competitive differentiators, and risk assessment.
- Master Offer Preparation & Submission: Act as the project manager for the proposal effort, coordinating content from various internal teams (e.g., legal, finance, technical experts). Ensure all sections are accurate, compliant with the RFQ, and clearly articulate Siemens' value proposition.
- Ensure Accurate Costing & Quality: Collaborate closely with finance or estimating teams to ensure proposed solutions are accurately costed and priced according to the agreed bid strategy. Conduct internal reviews to ensure the final proposal is professional, error-free, and submitted on time.
- Support Contract Negotiation: Clarify proposal content, address client questions, and participate in follow-up discussions with the sales team. Assist in contract negotiation on commercial and contractual terms, working with the legal department to finalize agreements that mitigate company risk while meeting client needs.
- Facilitate Seamless Handover & Archiving: Upon contract award, formally hand over all project specifics, client expectations, contractual obligations, and key assumptions to the Execution Team (e.g., Project Management, Operations) for successful project execution. Finalize and archive all bid documents for future reference and continuous process improvement.
