Working Student (f/m/d) Sustainability and Regulatory Compliance in Technology and Innovation
Mode of Employment: Limited, max. 20h/week

You'll make an impact by
- You will analyze and interpret European and international environmental regulations, focusing on frameworks like EU F-Gas and PFAS (ECHA), to assess their impact on product materials and manufacturing processes
- Following your analysis, you will evaluate the regulatory implications for Siemens Electrification and Automation products and assist in creating internal assessments or checklists to ensure compliance
- In collaboration with R&D, Product Management, and Sustainability teams, you will identify substances or materials potentially affected by upcoming restrictions, enhancing the company's proactive compliance efforts
- You are expected to prepare management-level PowerPoint presentations that summarize your key findings, outline regulatory trends, and illustrate potential business impacts in a clear and visual manner
- Additionally, you will support the Sustainability and PREP team in aligning product innovation with Siemens’ long-term environmental and regulatory strategy while maintaining documentation on regulatory screening results
This is how you'll win us over
- Education: You are currently successfully enrolled in a Master’s program in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field at a German university
- Experience and Skills:
- Strong understanding of chemical substances, materials classification, and environmental risk assessment
- You are knowledgeable about sustainability regulations, green technologies, and the intersection of chemistry and innovation
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory content into clear executive summaries
- Confident in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel; experience with regulatory or material databases is a plus
- Ways of Working: You are confident in your ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Languages: Very good command of English (written and spoken); very good German skills
