Our Fire Sprinkler Zone Technology Experts provide product expertise to zone staff for Fire Sprinkler Systems and Water Based applications. The role also provides training and technical support to field technicians and inspectors. Provides on-site technical troubleshooting for resolution of customer issues. Provides advanced technical assistance for sales activities
As a Fire Sprinkler Zone Technology Expert, you will:
- Conduct Technical Reviews with Area’s in the Zone to ensure projects will meet the intent of the specifications and scope of work to reduce our Risk
- Participate in Area Cost Reviews, including reviewing materials, labor, and design
- Work with Estimating & Engineering Teams to align estimating and design requirements
- Identify training needs for Operations personnel
- Coach Sprinkler Fitters & Inspectors on installation, repair and inspection requirements
- Provide on-site support as needed to train Sales & Operations on initial site walk-through’s, provide guidance on installation challenges, confirm project plan, meet with subcontractors, etc…
- Work with PM’s on methods for managing Sprinkler projects
- Train on the required use of inspection software as it pertains to fire sprinkler and related equipment
- Work with Area’s to adhere to safety policies and corporate vehicle use guidelines while driving growth initiatives
- Support OM’s & Supervisors who do not have a Sprinkler background
- Ensure proper licensing is in place for each Area
- Maintains technical knowledge on products and tools through continuing education initiatives
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED
- Ability to travel up to 80% across the Pacific Region (Alaska, Oregon, Washington, California)
- On-the-job experience with a combination of installing, servicing, inspecting, design or selling fire sprinkler systems and related equipment
- Solid understanding of fire sprinkler, fire pumps and backflow knowledge of field of specialization demonstrated through successful
- completion of complex assignments
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the design of large, standard jobs and the role that tools, products, and practices play in that design of fire sprinkler systems
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of industry engineering fundamentals and business operations
- Knowledge of benchmarks and KPIs related to fire and life safety systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office and engineering software applications
- Previous on-the-job experience with strong customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills; ability to be assertive in acquiring the necessary information to aid internal and external clients
- Ability to work independently
- NICET Level II certification in Inspection and Testing of Water Based Fire Suppression or NICET Level II in Water-Based Systems Layout within 12 months of hire
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience or a combination of installing, servicing, inspecting, design or selling fire sprinkler systems and related equipment
- Solid understanding of fire sprinkler, fire pumps and backflow Knowledge of field of specialization demonstrated through successful
- completion of complex assignments
- Ability to interpret industry trends and translate trends into future activities.
- This role requires strong communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills; ability to be assertive in acquiring the necessary information to aid internal and external clients
- Knowledge of benchmarks and KPIs related to fire and life safety systems
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- NICET Level II certification in Inspection and Testing of Water Based Fire Suppression or NICET Level II in Water-Based Systems Layout
- Preferred NICET Level III certification in Inspection and Testing of Water Based Fire Suppression or NICET Level III in Water-Based Systems Layout
- Proficient in business software systems (e.g., SAP)

The pay range for this position is $74,970 - $128,520 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
