Position Overview:
The Commercial Project Manager to be responsible for supporting the Commercial Project Director in all commercial aspects related to a customer contract (“Project”), starting with the sales phase up to the end of the complete project execution phase. The CPM is responsible for supporting financial and commercial management (Contract, costs, revenue, and cash flow) throughout the project execution phase. This encompasses sales controlling, performance measurement, planning, forecasting, reporting, customer negotiations, project team leadership and risk and opportunity management. The primary contacts for the CPM include Customers, Suppliers, Project Managers/ Engineers, Procurement, Legal Department, Operational Review, other Commercial Project Managers, Heads of local Finance & Business Administration, internal and external Auditors, and central Financial Services.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Assist with financial project setup, WBS structure, and maintaining the project’s financial performance plan.
- Support revenue recognition, monitor actual vs. planned costs, and ensure compliance with Siemens accounting standards and internal controls.
- Contribute to forecasting, cash flow analysis, reconciliation, and data integrity between SAP and project tools.
- Help manage contractual changes, risks, and opportunities, ensuring proper documentation and approvals per PM@Siemens guidelines.
- Support invoicing, receivables, and procurement coordination to maintain timely billing and budget alignment.
- Assist with contract and claim management, performance guarantees, insurances, taxes, and compliance with project commitments.
- Collaborate with CPM, PM, and cross-functional teams to drive margin optimization, process improvements, and adherence to quality standards.
- Represent the project in meetings when delegated and maintain proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to LoA, Siemens Business Conduct Guidelines, and all relevant commercial regulations.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of degree, 5+ years of equivalent experience in Financial Project management of complex project.
- 3+ years of successful Financial Project Management experience in complex projects.
- PMI Certification or PM@Siemens C. preferred
- Ability to travel - 15%
- Excellently demonstrated verbal, and written communication skills as well as demonstrated presentation skills.

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $91,086 - $123,318. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.

The pay range for this position is $91,086 - $123,318 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
