Then come and join our global team as Senior Software Developer (f/m/d) Image Processing, Research & Development, to develop and implement cutting-edge image processing algorithms and machine learning techniques to advance imaging and image-guided therapy in interventional radiology.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will develop and implement cutting-edge image processing algorithms and machine learning techniques to advance medical imaging and image-guided therapy in interventional radiology.
  • You will be responsible for efficient implementation of image processing algorithms as well as performing in-depth analysis and optimization and deploying them on GPU and CPU architectures.
  • You will proactively contribute to the software design and architecture and are responsible for the quality of the product throughout its lifecycle.
  • You will work in an agile, cross-functional, and international development team and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders from research & development, product management, innovations and user experience.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have successfully completed a university degree in computer science, information technology or electrical engineering; preferably you hold a PhD.
  • You have several years of professional experience as a software developer, ideally in the field of image processing.
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of software development for real-time systems and you are familiar with developing high-quality product code in C++ and Rust.
  • Your profound skills in CUDA, NVIDIA's Nsight and OpenMP allow you to efficiently utilize algorithmic parallelism to achieve optimized runtime performance.
  • You are experienced in Python programming for rapid prototyping, and you proactively leverage AI-driven tools such as Copilot to enhance your daily programming activities.
  • As a plus you have practical experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, neural network formats like ONNX and optimization SDKs like TensorRT.
  • Having a professional track record in the domain of healthcare and medical image processing or a comparable regulated environment is a plus.

  • As a lifelong learner, you are eager to learn new skills and grow. Staying up to date with the latest developments in the image processing communities feels natural to you.
  • You have a positive attitude towards team-oriented working in a cross-functional agile environment and actively add to the outstanding team spirit. Intercultural experience in the collaboration of international teams is a plus.
  • You have strong organization skills, a structured and methodical working style with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management, task prioritization skills, high personal quality standards and focus on results.
  • You have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English and provide high quality visual representations of results. Speaking German is a plus.
  • We learn passionately – You always keep up-to-date with current trends and potentials of medical image processing and constantly question our status quo.
