Software solutions and customer services along the wide-ranging product life cycle complete the portfolio. Siemens Mobility empowers its customers to understand their IoT data, generated from rail assets, allowing them to gain valuable insights and get more out of their systems.

We are looking for a QA Internship (m/f/d) to join our Innovation Team

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Test applications on web and mobile platforms to identify and report bugs while ensuring the software meets quality standards (manual testing suport).
  • Partner with developers and PM to understand project requirements and testing objectives.
  • Attend team meetings (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning) to identify areas where testing efforts are needed.
  • Work on automating API tests using tools like Postman, Swagger (or other tools as suited).
  • Support the setup and execution of testing frameworks under mentorship.
  • Help write detailed, well-structured test cases and scenarios based on functional requirements.
  • Log bugs with helpful descriptions and reproducible steps using bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira).
  • Gather insights into testing processes and provide suggestions for improvement with the team.

We're looking for someone who has:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Able to work independently and also thrive in team collaboration.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Familiar with the basics of API testing concepts on tools such as Postman or Swagger. (Prior experience is a plus but not required—you’ll receive mentorship and training!)
  • General understanding of software development life cycles and testing methodologies.
  • Eager to learn and open to feedback.
  • Beginner-level knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) for test automation, and familiarity with agile workflows and tools like Jira, are an advantage.

What you can expect from us:

A flexible working model to promote a better work-life balance, a health insurance and access to our on-site medical center. 2 volunteering days a year and 4 additional bridge days per year. If this sounds exciting to you, then send us your application – in English – and we will get back to you!
