QA Test Engineer

We're looking for a QA Test Engineer to join our Calibre DRC QA Team in Cairo, Egypt.
In this key role, you will ensure the highest quality, accuracy, and performance of Calibre DRC—the industry-leading EDA tool used globally for physical verification in semiconductor design.
You’ll join a global QA team responsible for testing, debugging, and qualifying software releases and updates. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
- Execute complex regression, functional, performance, stress, and integration test suites on diverse IC layout data (GDSII, OASIS) across multiple technology nodes.
- Develop and run comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and enhancements.
- Analyze product specs, design docs, and customer requirements to ensure full test coverage for IC physical verification.
- Collaborate with R&D, Product Engineers, and Application Engineers to translate technical challenges into effective test scenarios.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in QA processes and testing infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in Software QA with strong scripting/programming skills.
- Proficiency in IC physical design, layout, and verification tools.
- Knowledge of IC manufacturing processes and design flows.
- Familiarity with defect tracking systems and QA/testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals with hands-on scripting experience, including Tcl and Python.
- Proficient in shell scripting (bash, ksh, csh) with extensive experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
