We are looking for: Senior Software Engineer (Power System Engineer – Dynamics Simulation),

You’ll make an impact by:

·       Algorithm & Model Development: Design and implement EMT and dynamic simulation algorithms (e.g., network solution, integration schemes, event handling) and device models (machines, exciters, governors, FACTS/HVDC, renewable inverter controls).

·       Code Implementation: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in C/C++ and Python (bindings, scripts, automation).

·       Model Libraries & APIs: Extend and maintain model libraries, contribute to public/private APIs for model authors and automation users.

·       Verification & Validation: Develop unit tests, reference cases, and regression suites. cross-validate results against benchmark studies and standards (IEEE/IEC).

·       Data & Workflow Integration: Build interfaces for data import/export (RAW, DYR, CSV, Python), and support scripting workflows for batch studies.

·       Documentation & Usability: Produce engineering documentation (model descriptions, assumptions, limitations) and contribute to user help, examples, and tutorials.

·       Collaboration: Work with Product Owners to refine requirements, partner with QA for test planning, engage with support teams on defect analysis and fixes.

·       Quality & Security: Adhere to coding standards, code reviews, and secure development practices.

·       Postgraduate (MTech/PhD) in Power Systems specialization with 3+ years of experience or BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of experience

·       Deep knowledge of power systems data modeling, simulation tools and algorithms.

·       Proficiency in C/C++ and Python, experience with unit testing, and version control (Git).

·       Good understanding of Agile development practices

·       Experience in mainstream software development, with good exposure to Cloud based enterprise application development

·       Good know-how of modern development platforms and tools (e.g. Git, Jira etc.)

·       know-how of agile management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps.

·       Excellent communication, global team interactions in an inter-cultural environment

·       Ability to work independently as well as in a team context

·       Preferred Skills:

·       Experience with industry tools (e.g., PSS®E, PSCAD, EMTP-RV, PSAT) for validation and comparison.

·       Exposure to modeling renewables (wind/solar) and grid-forming/grid-following converter controls.

·       Knowledge of data formats (RAW, DYR, CIM, CSV) and scripting automation for bulk studies.

·       Understanding of standards and guidelines (IEEE/IEC) for model testing and reporting.
