Assigned Country Head of the Buildings Business Unit

We are looking for the Assigned Country Head of the Buildings Business Unit, responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and overall business performance in Greece.
In this dual-reporting role, you will report locally to the Head of Smart Infrastructure Greece and functionally to the Head of Buildings Italy, ensuring strong alignment between country, regional, and global priorities.

Your Challenge
Strategic Leadership
- Provide visionary leadership to the Sales and Technical Sales organizations, setting direction, shaping culture, and ensuring high performance across all teams.
- Build and develop a strong leadership bench through disciplined talent management, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Champion operational excellence and agile ways of working, ensuring the organization is responsive to evolving market and customer dynamics.
Sales & Market Strategy
- Define and implement the country strategy for SI Buildings in alignment with global objectives, translating group vision into clear priorities, targets, and execution plans.
- Steer the local Go-To-Market approach, ensuring competitiveness in the Greek market while maintaining global alignment.
- Oversee business planning and growth execution, ensuring sales teams are positioned to deliver market expansion, pipeline robustness, and profitable growth.
- Provide strategic oversight on KPIs, market performance, and risks, driving course corrections and strategic interventions where required.
Business & Financial Governance
- Lead the financial performance of the Buildings business in Greece, including revenue, profitability, forecasting, and investment decisions.
- Ensure disciplined resource allocation and adherence to governance, regulatory, and commercial risk standards.
- Guide strategic account management and prioritization to increase value creation and long-term partnerships.
Customer & Ecosystem Engagement
- Shape and oversee the customer engagement strategy, strengthening relationships with key accounts, partners, and the broader market ecosystem.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities, innovations, and strategic partnerships that enhance Siemens’ market position.
- Represent Siemens as a senior leader in industry forums, reinforcing credibility and thought leadership at the national level.
Cross-Business Alignment & Transformation
- Act as the senior interface between Greek operations and lead country/global leadership, ensuring alignment on strategy, performance, and transformation initiatives.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across sales, operations, product, and marketing to deliver integrated customer value.
- Lead the transition toward a more customer-centric, digitally enabled, and future-ready sales organization.
Regional Leadership Contribution
- Report to the Head of SI Business Greece and to the Head of Buildings Italy (Lead Country), ensuring strategic coherence across both dimensions.
- Contribute to regional leadership forums, shaping the broader direction of SI Buildings across Southern Europe
To be a perfect fit for this role, you would already have:
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in multi-country or regional roles, preferably within the buildings or smart infrastructure industry.
- Proven track record in driving business growth, operational excellence and developing high-performing teams.
- Solid P&L management experience. Have you had experience in managing P&L
- Solid knowledge of the buildings market (preferable Greek market), including regulatory environments, cultural nuances and competitive landscapes.
- Strong financial foresight and ability to analyze complex data for strategic decision-making.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Demonstrated skills in software and digital business transformation.
- Fluency in English; Greek language skills are a plus.
- Ability to travel and Eligibility to work in Greece
