As an FPGA Prototyping Product Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and enhancing complex computer-aided engineering design and manufacturing processes for our customers. You will leverage your extensive knowledge in FPGA prototyping to tackle challenging design and tooling tasks, communicate software problems effectively, and guide junior engineers. This position offers the opportunity to work on highly complex projects with significant independent judgment and discretion, contributing directly to cutting-edge electronic product development.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with Application Engineering and customers to execute FPGA prototyping evaluations and provide ongoing technical support.
- Serve as a technical interface with customer engineers and managers to define requirements and optimize FPGA prototyping and CAD workflows.
- Execute complex FPGA prototyping tasks, including design bring-up, partitioning, synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, and debug.
- Support deployment and integration of FPGA prototype systems across hardware and software environments.
- Apply and evolve data exchange and interoperability methodologies across tools, platforms, and engineering disciplines.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and R&D to align customer needs with product capabilities and influence product direction.
- Communicate complex technical issues clearly and provide actionable feedback to internal teams and external partners.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and documentation for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and operate independently on complex customer engagements.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electronics Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in FPGA prototyping or related fields.
- Extensive knowledge of VLSI and digital design.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Strong understanding of large design partitioning and routing across multiple FPGAs.
- Experience interfacing with both low and high-speed peripherals.
- Extensive knowledge of the field of FPGA prototyping.
This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The pay range for this position is $129,600 - $233,300 annually with a target incentive of 5-10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
