Siemens Buildings is looking for a Quality Management (QM) Manager to lead and integrate all quality activities within the manufacturing facility, ensuring end-to-end product and process quality from suppliers through manufacturing to customers. This role provides comprehensive strategic and operational leadership for the Quality function, proactively driving continuous improvement, strengthening quality systems, and fostering a high-performing quality culture. Reporting to the Director of Quality, the QM Manager will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-performing quality processes.
This position is an onsite/in-office role at our Buffalo Grove, IL location.
As a QM Manager, you will:
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure product conformity and maintain accountability and alignment across Supplier, Manufacturing, and Customer Quality functions
- Manage nonconforming material, including containment, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Monitor, analyze and proactively drive improvement of key quality metrics (PPM, scrap, rework, customer complaints, audit findings) translating data into clear priorities and action plans, and report performance to leadership
- Lead customer quality issues, including complaints, returns, and corrective action responses, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Evaluate and improve supplier quality performance in collaboration with Procurement and Supplier Quality teams, including performance reviews, audits, and escalation when required
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to support new product introductions, process changes, and risk assessments, providing quality leadership and challenge as needed
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying systemic risks and opportunities and implementing data-driven solutions that deliver sustained improvements in process efficiency and product quality
- Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team, effectively delegating responsibilities, building capability and ownership, and fostering a strong culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement across the site
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 5 + years of progressive quality experience in a manufacturing environment with end-to-end responsibility
- Proven people management and leadership experience, including successfully managing and developing teams and delegating effectively
- Demonstrated ability to define and lead strategic quality initiatives that resulted in long-term improvements within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and quality tools (8D, FMEA, PPAP, ISO 9001, audits)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership
- Proactive, accountable leader with proven expertise in analytical problem-solving, decision-making, and project execution
- Available to work on-site, Monday through Friday
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Quality Certifications: Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Advanced proficiency in SAP and quality management systems (QMS platforms), including experience leveraging data analytics tools for continuous improvement
- Proficient in gauge R&R studies, control plans, SPC methods, machining, assembly, gauging, and CPK analysis in manufacturing
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with measurement equipment such as CMM, OGP, optical comparators, and other precision inspection tools

The pay range for this position is $112,669 - $193,147 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
