Digital Services Summer - Fall Co-op (North Carolina State University)
- Supporting market and opportunity sizing efforts by analyzing medium-voltage digital services trends and adoption drivers.
- Developing customer value cases and go-to-market content to support Electrification X positioning for MV customers.
- Researching digital twin concepts for medium-voltage switchgear and assisting with architecture definition and early concept development.
- Collecting, synthesizing, and presenting market and technical data through reports, charts, and executive-ready summaries.
- Collaborating with digital services, product, and technical teams to support innovation pilots and strategic initiatives.
- Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Candidates must be enrolled with the North Carolina State University co-op program and cannot graduate prior to December 2026.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the Summer and Fall 2026 semesters.
- Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide housing or relocation support.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Familiarity with power systems or medium-voltage equipment concepts.
- Understanding of IoT, data analytics, or digital twin concepts.
- Exposure to Python or data visualization tools (Power BI, Grafana).
- Experience with market research or business case development.
- Strong written and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to work across technical and business teams.
- Interest in digitalization, energy systems, and innovation.
The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 per hour for first time Interns or $25.50 per hour for returning Interns. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
