What will you do?

At Siemens Smart Infrastructure Buildings, a Business Development Manager is responsible for creating and executing strategies to grow the business for Siemens' building technology and sustainability portfolio.

Focusing on Quebec and Atlantic Canada this role will be critical in promoting Siemens in areas like energy efficiency, smart building technologies, and digital transformation.

This role involves identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and collaborating with internal teams - including sales, technicians, designers, estimators, and project managers - to deliver tailored solutions that align with client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Business and sales strategy: Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, identify market trends, and generate new leads for our Buildings business.
  • Customer and market engagement: Build relationships with key customers, from executive to engineering levels, to understand their needs and enhance customers specifications. Focus on Siemens targeted verticals Government, Commercial Real Estate, Data Centers, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Higher Education, Industrial and Mining.
  • Portfolio development: Support penetration of our building technology portfolio in the marketplace, including sustainability, digitalization strategies and new business models.
  • Providing technical, design, and technology support to consultants and designers
  • Sales and technical support: Assist sales teams with customer acquisition, evaluating technical requirements, and preparing commercial proposals.
  • Market analysis: Conduct market analysis and business planning to support long-term growth.
  • Training and enablement: Train sales colleagues and customers on new and legacy service solutions.
  • Collaboration:  Work with various internal teams, such as regional and local sales personnel, to drive mutual growth. 

What will you need to succeed?

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like Mechanical Engineering, Building Automation, Commercial Construction, HVAC or equivalent work experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience in business development, outside sales, or technical sales in a related industry like building automation or commercial construction.
  • Fully bilingual in French and English
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to drive complex sales and work in a matrix organization.
  • Experience with a range of customer levels, from engineering to executive.
 

Territory: Eastern Canada.

Salary is commensurate with experience, and ranges between $ 84,000 CAD - $ 130,000 CAD. In addition to base salary, this role includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus ranging from 18% to 25% of base salary, based on Company performance metrics.
