Position Overview

Siemens Industry is looking for a Buyer for our Grand Prairie, TX. manufacturing facility. Our growing facility produces high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment. Our processes include material handling, metal fabrication, painting, final assembly, and test.

You will make an impact by:

  • Manage MRP via SAP and placed Purchase Orders with internal and external vendors.
  • Reviews SAP master data including minimum order quantities, safety stocks, lead times, purchasing info records and providing forecasting as needed, etc.
  • Evaluates the current supply chain and improves it by working with our corporate resources such as Local Procurement and Commodity Managers.
  • Ensure material availability to meet production schedule requirements and minimize delays.
  • Analyzes large amounts of data to develop sourcing strategies by component and supplier.
  • Responsible for meeting the KPI’s, such as inventory targets, delivery reliability and cost saving initiatives for the site.
  • GRIR (good receipts/invoice receipts) discrepancies and late purchase order processing.
  • Works closely with production, planning and customer service to fulfill the customer requirements.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of email communications while efficiently handling daily tasks and addressing production-related escalations.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills to support production and planning purposes, enabling informed decision-making and process optimization.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of purchasing experience with MRP system in manufacturing environment.
  • BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree
  • Advanced hands-on knowledge of SAP, Excel and Microsoft Office
  • APICS CSCP and/or CPIM
  • Legally authorized to work in the United State on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Microsoft Access.
  • Tableau knowledge
  • Excel Macros

The pay range for this position is $60,333 - $103,428 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
