As Industry Developer Data Center, you will play a key role in planning and implementing strategic business development initiatives that drive sales profitable growth for Smart Infrastructure Building in Data Centers. This role involves defining market segmentation and value proposition for targeted market, implementing account-level and regional selected strategic initiatives, supporting the development of new growth initiatives.
Location: This position will be based in Zug/Switzerland, Germany, UK or Ireland. Prerequisite is your legal eligibility to work in the respective country and location.
No relocation is required.
Your new responsibilities
- Execute go-to-market and account strategies within Data Center, aligning with commercial goals and market dynamics
- Implement account-level and regional strategic initiatives collaborating closely with Key Account Managers and regional sales teams
- Support market segmentation, rollout of vertical offerings, and direct / indirect channel strategy to ensure effective execution of vertical-specific initiatives
- Support cross-Business Unit activities to enable a unified market approach and maximize share of wallet. Collaborate with all portfolio stakeholders (e.g., Business Units, Specialist Team)
- Gather, analyze, and report market intelligence and account data to inform strategy execution and identify growth opportunities
- Support the development of new business opportunities through pipeline creation, customer engagement, and investment proposals in adjacent areas
- Enable product and system development by translating market needs into actionable inputs for innovation and offering design
- Act as a liaison across internal and external stakeholders, building strong networks with global sales, vertical leadership, and industry experts to align strategic priorities
Your Profile
- Proven track record of 10+ years in business development, with demonstrated success in strategic partnership development, account management, complex deal structuring and go-to-market penetration
- Deep understanding of data center industry dynamics, regulations, technology trends and digital transformation
- Experience in Data Center is an advantage
- Deep knowledge of building technologies and digital platforms
- Strategic planning expertise with proven ability to develop and execute market entry strategies
- Excellence in stakeholder management and C-level relationship building
- Visionary leadership with operational rigor and growth mindset
- Financial acumen and ability to make data-driven decisions
- Inspirational team builder and cross-cultural collaborator
- Customer-centric thinking with commercial insight
- Able to navigate ambiguity and drive transformation in dynamic environments
- Experience working in a global environment, collaborating with senior leaders and adapting to different cultures
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; knowledge of any additional European language is a plus
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- Willingness to travel globally up to 50%
