Brightly Software builds and evolves a data‑driven, sustainability‑enabled Enterprise Asset Management platform used by public infrastructure and facility operators worldwide. You’ll join Product Management to explore and validate AI opportunities across solutions serving the education, healthcare, manufacturing, local government, and broader public infrastructure.

Through XPS, you’ll gain international exposure, work on strategic projects, and build a global network—all while shaping the future of a technology powerhouse. This internship is your first step toward that journey.
The Challenge
Our customers handle vast, heterogeneous asset portfolios and operational workflows. AI offers step‑change improvements - from predictive maintenance and capital planning to generative work instruction and intelligent triage. Your challenge is to identify high‑value AI use cases, quantify business impact, and drive lean experiments that de‑risk feasibility and desirability within Brightly’s portfolio.
Your Summer Internship
- Lead discovery for one or two prioritized AI opportunities (e.g., predictive work planning for schools, knowledge retrieval for healthcare facilities, routing automation for public works).
- Conduct market/competitive analysis; synthesize client, field, and data‑science input into clear hypotheses and value narratives.
- Define success metrics (customer outcomes, operational KPIs) and shape PRDs and lean test plans (MVP experiments, alpha/beta criteria).
- Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and Design to deliver a time‑boxed experiment and assess results against defined metrics.
- Communicate progress and outcomes to team members; propose go/no‑go and next‑step roadmap recommendations.
What You’ll Deliver (Success Measures)
- Market Discovery: Insights, assumptions, approach, and actionable value
- Positioning Documents: clear articulation of user problems, AI approach, scope, and measurable outcomes.
- Product Canvas: opportunity, investment and impact, path to delivery and alignment to Brightly strategy.
We’re seeking innovative, inquisitive candidates who:
- Education: Pursuing an MBA or Master’s, Engineering, Data/Analytics, or related field by December 2026 or May, 2027
- Experience: Have 5-10 years of prior work experience in a related technical / digital field
- Think logically, self‑learn, and approach problems creatively; comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration.
- Can translate technical concepts into customer value; strong written and verbal communication.
- Availability: Full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 weeks (May-July or June-August)
- Location: Hybrid - combination of onsite work at designated office and remote work (no relocation or housing stipend provided).
- Global Mobility: Willingness and ability to relocate internationally for possible future roles upon successful completion of the internship.

- Domain & Global Readiness: Brings relevant technical/digital experience, shows empathy for public infrastructure/facilities operations, and is adaptable with willingness for international mobility.
- Technologies: Familiarity with EAM/CMMS/SAM domains or operations in public infrastructure and facilities.

The hourly pay range for this position is $56 per hour for first time Interns or $56 per hour for returning Interns. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
