As a Solution Architect – Warehouse Operations (Intralogistics), you will be a pivotal force in driving the development and integration of innovative functional and technical architectures specifically for holistic Intralogistics solutions. This includes the seamless interplay between Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and smart warehouse operations management, automation, and optimization solutions. You'll ensure our digital offerings not only meet but exceed customer operational needs and align perfectly with our strategic business objectives. You'll make an impact by
- Leading the creation of robust functional and technical architectures for comprehensive integrated Intralogistics solutions to holistically optimize warehouse operations
- Translating complex customer use cases and operational requirements into clear, actionable technical architectures
- Evaluating and validating the technical, operational, and strategic feasibility of integrated Intralogistics solutions, including vertical-specific offerings and partner services
- Specifying and integrating standard and custom components, coordinating interfaces and ensuring seamless interoperability across diverse systems and platforms
- Providing critical guidance and expert support to regional teams for complex customer designs, acting as a key escalation point for integrated Intralogistics solution challenges
- Validating solution designs against customer operational requirements, industry compliance standards, and cybersecurity policies
- Creating thorough technical documentation and conducting cost-value analyses to optimize solution designs and reduce delivery complexity
- Proactively assessing technological trends and innovations in warehouse automation, AI/ML for Intralogistics and IT/OT to ensure our digital offerings remain cutting-edge
This is how you'll win us over
- Education: Master's degree (or a Bachelor's degree with extensive professional experience and leadership responsibility) in Chain Management or a closely related technical field
- Experience and Skills:
- 6+ years of experience in solution architecture, systems design, or technical consulting, with a strong focus on integrated Intralogistics solutions, including Material Handling Equipment (MHE), warehouse operations, warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), automation, robotics, and supply chain optimization
- Solid understanding of end-to-end Intralogistics processes, encompassing the interplay between MHE and warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, inventory management and material flow
- Proven expertise in designing scalable functional and technical architectures and translating complex operational requirements into robust digital solution designs
- Strong knowledge of system integration, cybersecurity standards, and deployment frameworks within enterprise environments, specifically as applied to both MHE and digital warehouse systems
- Ability to conduct comprehensive cost-value analyses, thorough risk assessments, and optimize solution designs by balancing technical and business factors, with a clear focus on operational KPIs
- Extensive experience collaborating effectively with sales teams, customer stakeholders, and technical partners, with a strong ability to articulate complex technical concepts into clear, business-relevant outcomes
- Excellent skills in technical documentation and presentation, with the ability to communicate complex topics effectively and persuasively to diverse audiences
- Professional experience including technical leadership responsibility
