About Siemens Digital Industries – Cranes
Siemens Cranes has a long history in the electrification and automation of cranes, with more than 7,000 container cranes installed worldwide across various industrial sectors.
We are a global player providing both standardized systems and complete turnkey solutions, including fully automated container terminal solutions.
The market for automated terminals is growing rapidly, leading to more complex systems and an increasing need for specialized service and maintenance expertise.

During your internship, you will work on research within the service and maintenance market for both conventional and automated container terminals. Your assignment includes:
• Investigating service and maintenance strategies that contribute to high availability and reliability of the installed base.
• Mapping the needs of container terminal operators, such as training, hotline support, remote support, spare parts, and service contracts.
• Exploring strategies and concepts to effectively support the rising number of automated terminals.
• Analyzing internal Siemens Cranes processes to identify opportunities to expand or improve the service business.

Who are you?
We are looking for a student who:
• is studying toward an HBO/WO degree, preferably in electrical engineering or another technical field;
• has good command of English, both spoken and written;
• is available for approximately 3 months;
• has a proactive, independent work attitude;
• is a team player, entrepreneurial, eager to learn, with an out of the box mindset.

What we offer
• a 3 month internship, 4 or 5 days per week (in consultation);
• an internship position in The Hague in an informal, professional working environment;
• a compensation of €700 per month 
• 1 day of leave per month;
