Job Description 
 
Position: Bid Sales Engineer – Technical
Experience: 10-15 Years
Location: Gurugram
Business Unit: Turnkey Electrical Solutions (EHV/HV/MV/LV)
Preferred: Diversity candidates encouraged to apply
 
Role Summary
 
We are seeking a passionate and technically sound Bid Sales Engineer to lead the preparation of techno-commercial offers for EHV/HV, MV & LV turnkey projects across utility, industrial, and infrastructure segments. You will act as the key interface between sales, engineering, procurement, and project management teams—ensuring customer needs are transformed into winning proposals.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Prepare technical and commercial proposals for turnkey electrical solutions (AIS/GIS Substations, MV/LV panels, automation, protection, etc.)
 
Analyze RFQs, tender documents, and specifications from utilities, industries, infra developers, EPCs, and data centers.
 
Liaise with engineering, sourcing, and supply chain to prepare optimized solutions, BOQs, and pricing.
 
Support the sales team with bid clarifications, presentations, and customer meetings.
 
Ensure compliance with internal risk management and costing guidelines.
Benchmark competitor offers and propose value engineering for cost optimization.
Maintain database of standard offerings, reference projects, and cost elements.
Drive digitization and proposal automation tools wherever applicable.
 
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (mandatory); Master’s preferred.
10-15 years of experience in bid engineering / proposal management for EHV/HV/MV/LV systems.
Strong understanding of Transmission, Distribution & Generation value chains.
Hands-on exposure to infrastructure segments like data centers, metros, utilities, and industrial power systems.
Familiar with IEC/IS standards, grid codes, protection schemes, and substation design.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Working knowledge of SAP/ERP tools, AutoCAD, electrical simulation tools is a plus.
