The Role:
We are seeking an Inside Sales Executive to support growth of the Simcenter simulation portfolio across Canada. This is a quota‑carrying, customer‑facing role focused on engaging engineering‑led organizations, identifying simulation challenges, and positioning Siemens solutions that align with technical and business outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable speaking with design, simulation, and engineering stakeholders, understands how engineers evaluate software, and can translate technical needs into commercial opportunities.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage new and existing customers by phone, video, and digital channels to identify opportunities within the Simcenter portfolio (e.g., CAE, multiphysics simulation, testing, and digital twin solutions).
- Prospect daily using a mix of outbound outreach, social selling, and inbound lead follow‑up to build a healthy and qualified pipeline.
- Lead discovery conversations with engineers and technical decision‑makers to understand design workflows, simulation challenges, and performance requirements.
- Qualify opportunities by uncovering technical use cases, business drivers, timelines, and success criteria.
- Partner with Pre‑Sales Engineers and Technical Specialists to coordinate product demonstrations, evaluations, and proof‑of‑concepts.
- Position Siemens solutions against customer needs and competitive alternatives, clearly articulating value and differentiation.
- Own opportunities from initial engagement through close, collaborating closely with Account Executives and Account Orchestrators.
- Accurately manage pipeline, forecasts, and activity in CRM and contribute to regular sales reviews.
- Participate in industry events, webinars, and user meetings to build market awareness and deepen solution knowledge.
What You Bring:
- Ability to confidently engage engineering and technical audiences and ask informed, relevant questions.
- Curiosity and interest in engineering software, simulation, and product development processes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- A proactive, self‑motivated approach to prospecting and pipeline development.
- Comfort working in a collaborative, matrixed sales environment.
- Coachability and openness to continuous learning and feedback.
- Resilience, organization, and a results‑oriented mindset.
Preferred Experience & Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in inside sales, technical sales, or solution selling, preferably in software or engineering‑related industries.
- Exposure to CAE, simulation, PLM, CAD, or engineering workflows is strongly preferred.
- Experience selling to or supporting engineering, R&D, or product development teams is an asset.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and prospecting tools such as Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo.
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset for supporting customers across Canada.
