Sinamics Runtime – Safety SW trainee

For more than three decades, SINAMICS has been a synonym for versatile electric drives. Our team supports the project by delivering cutting edge solutions for safety critical drive applications. In this role you will be challenged by designing and implementing robust software run in an embedded environment.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Writing and maintaining automated test cases by using an internally developed test automation tool
• Support of adaptation of test framework to Python
• Support for development and implementation of safety-related software functions
• Integration and unit testing of software
• Manual exploratory testing
• Adaptation of AI solutions to development and testing framework
• Participation in software documentation deliveries
• Active participation in an agile team
• English and/or German skills on B2 level

Your success is grounded in:

• Active student status specializing in electrical engineering, informatics or comparable engineering field
• Programming experience in C++
• Experience or relevant knowledge with Scripting languages (TCL or Python)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Motivation to continuous self-development 
• Reliable, liable personality, precision
• Interests in software quality assurance
• English and/or German skills on B2 level

You’ll stand out with

• Experience with test automation tools
• Embedded experience
• Hardware knowledge (industrial hardware, PLC, drives, etc.)
• Version control experience (Git, Clear Case)
• Familiarity with safety-critical software development
• German language skills
