Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Manufacturing Head has the responsibility and coordination of the Production and Industrial Engineering teams.
Under these teams are the areas of Metal parts production, Mechanical Assembly, Wiring, Equipment Maintenance, Industrial Engineering & Product Industrialization with a total of aprox. 120 workers.


The major tasks and responsibilities of the Manufacturing Head are:
  • Drives the strategic development of the areas assigned.
  • Implements defined superior policies and guidelines, and defines and ensures implementation of function specific processes, procedures, methods and/or tools.
  • Ensures adherence at any time to relevant internal and local EHS-standards.
  • Plans and proposes unit’s budget and decides and allocates financial and personnel resources, within given limits.
  • Manages and develops all the respective workflow process to ensure all production targets (Quality, Quantity, Delivery in time) are achieved.
  • Designs and proposes short- and midterm development of the responsible production unit (continuous improvement), and sets up and monitors completion of agreed investment projects.
  • Ensures optimum machine & workforce utilization and product scheduling.
  • Ensures availability of working instructions, rules and guidelines for all productions sections, shifts or production lines assigned.
  • Contributes to and implements productions plans.
  • Evaluates and contributes to implementation of maintenance programs.
  • Cooperates with concerned Planning, Project Management and other technical and support functions to execute the manufacturing program.
  • Manages areas assigned, and leads and/or coordinates dedicated Management, Professionals and staff.
  • Generate and Reports all necessary & defined KPI’s.

 
We are looking for someone with… 
  • Engineering degree at Mechanics, Electric or at Industrial Engineering areas
  • Strong English & Portuguese skills
  • Proven experience at similar position with a minimum of 10 Years
  • Capability of Teamwork and ability to implement and drive changes with the aim of process and performance improvement
  • Pragmatical thinking focused at given goals without arming safety or Quality requirements
