Position Title: Safety officer

Organisation : SIEMENS Ltd

Term of Employment: Fixed term contract role (DC)

Location preference:  Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh  

Edu. Qual.: B.E / Diploma Graduate in Electrical (1st preference) / Mechanical (2nd preference)

Additional mandatory requirement:

Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized university (PDIS / ADIS), Nebosh Preference

No. of years of Relevant Exp. reqd.: Min 5-7 years

Job Specialization:

Operation and Maintenance in manufacturing Plant, Steel plant, Aluminum, Copper industries

Experience Requirements:

  • Should have the knowledge in Safety Management System implementation
  • UA UC Near miss reporting, HIRA, JSA, preparation.
  • PPE awareness, training, Safety improvements (kaizens), Safety procedures, safety standards
  • Work permit & LOTO system
  • Factory Act & rules.
  • Awareness in Operation and Maintenance of Electrical system such as transformer, MV LV Panels, Drives, APFC, Battery bank etc.,
  • Industrial experience from Steel background is mandatory.
  • Monthly EHS data preparation, analysis, action plan preparation, improvements in PPE analysis and its control. Monitoring safety performances of site.

§  Must have experience in industrial safety practices especially in Electrical field. Able to analyse the safety data and prepare action plan.

§  Root cause / accident investigation

§  Good commanding, communication skill, generate safety reports on day to day basis.

  • Keep good Coordination with stakeholders & customers, good relationship with Team members and Client
  • Should be familiar with Report preparation, PPT & Excel.
  • Should be in regular coordination with HO/ HQ colleagues.
  • 30% - 50% travel will be there across any part of India (need based)
  • Willing to take any challenges in safety.
