Your mission will be…  


Strategic and Operational IT Planning:
  • Development and implementation of an IT strategy aligned with factory goals and production requirements
  • Planning and management of IT projects (incl. demand management), particularly in the areas of automation and digitization of production processes
  • Selection, procurement, and management of site-specific software and hardware

IT Infrastructure:
  • Responsibility for the management of the entire IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, software, and hardware
  • Ensuring the availability, stability, and security of IT systems, particularly regarding production systems

Interface to Production:
  • Close collaboration with production management to develop technological solutions that enhance the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing processes
  • Implementation and maintenance of production software and systems (e.g., MES, ERP systems)

Team Leadership and Personnel Management:
  • Leadership and further development of the IT team (internal or external), including training and development of employees
  • Responsibility for recruiting IT specialists and coordinating external service providers

IT Security and Data Protection (Cybersecurity):
  • Ensuring IT security at the site, particularly regarding the integration of production systems
  • Monitoring compliance with data protection regulations (ACP, risk management) and IT guidelines

Budgeting and Cost Management:
  • Responsibility for IT budgets and cost control
  • Identification and implementation of cost reduction measures without compromising system quality and availability

Digitization, Innovation, and Development:
  • Identifying new technologies and trends in IT and integrating them into production processes (e.g., IoT, Big Data, cloud solutions)
  • Leading innovation projects to continuously improve production

Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Monitoring and quickly resolving IT issues and outages to maintain production operations
  • Escalation management in the event of a disruption at the site
  • Providing IT support for employees at the site, particularly production staff working with IT systems


 

We are looking for someone with… 
  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in IT management, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud technologies, and integration of production systems (e.g., MES, ERP, ...)
  • Experience in leading and developing teams
  • Strong knowledge of IT security, data protection, and compliance regulations
  • Knowledge of production processes and manufacturing technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with a strong understanding of processes
  • Leadership skills and strong communication abilities to work effectively with various departments and management
  • Very good written and spoken English skills.
