At Siemens Global Business Services, we are looking for a Workday Technical Consultant with strong expertise in Absence Management and Security to join our Global Workday Operations Team.

This is not a functional or support-based role.
You will be part of a globally distributed expert team, driving technical design, optimization, and continuous improvement across multiple countries and regions.


What you’ll own

  • Drive and optimize technical solutions within Workday Absence Management and Security

  • Analyze complex system behaviors, data, and configurations to design effective solutions

  • Contribute to the evolution of Workday security architecture (roles, groups, access concepts, authentication)

  • Manage and enhance Absence frameworks including calendars, eligibilities, and leave configurations

  • Partner with other Workday experts globally to align on standards, improvements, and releases

  • Play a key role in Workday releases, operational stability, and continuous improvement initiatives


What we’re really looking for

  • Hands-on technical experience in Workday (not only key user or functional exposure)

  • 3+ years of Workday experience, including:

    • 2+ years focused on Absence Management and Security

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Security roles, access groups, intersection security groups, authentication

    • Absence configurations such as calendars, leave types, and eligibility rules

  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize configurations in complex environments

  • Experience working with data (Excel, reporting, or similar tools)

  • Background in IT, systems, or digital environments (Operations, Testing, Service Management is a plus)

  • Strong communication skills in English within global, cross-functional teams
