The Global Account Manager is responsible for the development, exploitation and maximization of the global scope and profitable growth of the customer & ecosystem portfolio in the assigned sub-segments, especially protein market, acting as customer focal point in Siemens' organizational units. is responsible for the development and achievement of the account's business objectives, including e.g. order intake, opportunity pipeline and customer relationship management.

Main Responsibilities
1. Global Account Strategy & Profitable Growth
- Owns the development, exploitation, and maximization of the global scope and profitable growth of the assigned key accounts within the Animal Protein & Livestock segment.
- Develops and executes a multi-year Global Account Business Plan, aligned with customer strategy and Siemens’ portfolio priorities.
- Analyzes customer markets, competitive landscape, and operational needs to identify scalable business opportunities across products, solutions, and services.
- Drives account penetration and share-of-wallet expansion across Siemens organizational units and regions.
2. Pipeline & Opportunity Management
- Accountable for the end-to-end opportunity pipeline, ensuring strong funnel quality, prioritization, and conversion.
- Drives execution of key opportunities across direct and indirect channels, ensuring alignment with partners and internal stakeholders.
- Ensures forecast accuracy, governance, and disciplined execution of strategic deals.
3. Executive Relationship & Customer Engagement
- Builds and maintains long-term, trust-based relationships across all relevant hierarchical levels, including C-level stakeholders at customer and Siemens.
- Acts as the primary global interface and trusted advisor, leading strategic discussions on:
- operational excellence
- digital transformation
- sustainability and energy efficiency
- Represents the customer’s interests internally, ensuring alignment and value delivery across the organization.
- Demonstrates long-term ownership and commitment to the account (typically 5+ years).
4. Global Orchestration & Governance
- Selects and functionally leads a cross-functional, multi-country account team, in alignment with vertical and line management.
- Orchestrates collaboration across Business Units, regions, and partners, ensuring consistent customer experience and scalable solutions.
- Acts as a matrix leader, influencing without formal authority and aligning diverse stakeholders toward common objectives.
5. Value Creation & Solution Positioning
- Positions integrated, end-to-end solutions leveraging Siemens’ full portfolio (automation, digitalization, electrification, AI).
- Drives solution selling and contracting, ensuring alignment with customer value drivers and business outcomes.
- Promotes standardization and replication of solutions across multiple sites and geographies.
6. Sales Excellence, Performance & Reporting
- Owns and continuously updates the Global Account Business Plan, ensuring transparency and strategic alignment.
- Ensures all opportunities and account developments are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders (Business Units, Domain Management, Regions).
- Monitors and drives performance against:
- revenue and growth targets
- pipeline development
- strategic initiatives
- Ensures high standards in sales governance, reporting, and execution discipline.
7. Market Authority & Industry Leadership
- Develops deep expertise in the Animal Protein & Livestock industry, including value chain, production processes, and market dynamics.
- Acts as a recognized authority within and outside the organization, contributing to thought leadership and strategic positioning in the market.
- Anticipates industry trends and translates them into actionable business opportunities.
8. Characteristics of role
- Interacts with key stakeholders, customer and ecosystem (Engineering, OEMs, SoP, Installers) building a Win-to-Win relationship (e.g Unique Value Proposition, Add Value), highlighting Siemens as a preferred player
- Knows the detailed requirements based on deep knowledge on customer processes, capex/opex goals, and associated Siemens solutions/applications for CPG Market
- Understands CPG Industry challenges/opportunities through looking at the bigger context
- Considers innovation & digitalization, and crosselling solutions within ecosystem as offers to the customers
- Strategically directs the organization for the best (ie.g. cost-effective) solution for the customer – direct and indirect business
- Knows how to bring practical ideas to the table when discussing with the customer
- Partner/Target customer visits and value-based presentations incl. required pre-sales support
- Drive target customers/ partners to participate in Events in collaboration with CPG HQ
- Review regularly pipeline with the team
- Create and present Business Cases to Siemens Regions
- Synchronize and collaborate with the international CPG organization to implement the defined strategies on the international customers
