About the Role

The Technical Account Manager independently owns and drives technical engagement for strategic customer accounts across multiple technology domains. This role operates at a broader portfolio and organizational level, leading cross-functional programs that expand adoption, defend installed base, and accelerate growth.

As a TAM, you are a key technical leader for your accounts—shaping solutions, influencing stakeholders, and mentoring others while delivering strong customer outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Own technical relationships at the divisional and portfolio level within assigned strategic accounts
  • Identify customer business and technical challenges, emerging needs, and growth opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Technical Sales, and Portfolio Units
  • Plan and execute technical programs that drive adoption, expansion, and competitive displacement
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and lead corrective actions when issues arise
  • Develop and manage opportunity and technical account plans with limited supervision
  • Advocate for customer requirements internally at the Regional and Flow Technical Director levels
  • Initiate and lead collaborative initiatives with portfolio and factory organizations
  • Mentor and coach junior TAMs and partner with Account Managers on technical strategy

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Approximately 10+ years of relevant EDA or semiconductor industry experience
  • Multi-domain expertise in EDA workflows and design methodologies
  • Ability to articulate and integrate value across the full Siemens EDA portfolio
  • Strong understanding of competitive landscapes and customer decision drivers
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, present, and communicate with senior technical stakeholders
  • Proven success leading customer-facing programs and cross-functional technical programs
  • Willingness to travel (including international) up to 30% to customer sites and internal meetings

The salary range for this position is $167,200 to $334,400 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.  Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. In addition, this position is eligible for time off in accordance with Company policies, including paid sick leave, paid parental leave, PTO (for non-exempt employees) or non-accrued flexible vacation (for exempt employees).

The pay range for this position is 167,200 - 334,400 annually with a target incentive of ? of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
