Job Description:

  • Heads overall Grid Software Sales organization in India reporting to the APAC Sales head.
  • Sell Grid Software portfolio, focus on Grid Simulation, Meter Data Management, Consulting Services, Grid Control Solutions and etc., for private and government customers. 
  • Solid knowledge of transmission, distribution and generation systems and its application, including the planning criteria, specifications, and design requirements.
  • Detect local market requirements and leverage technical solutions in contact with other Business Units, Business Segments and Headquarters. 
  • Understand and also clarify customer requirements regarding Software and Electrical Studies, driving those expectations into Siemens technical concepts and expertise. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills on technical and commercial discussions with Grid Authorities and TNSPs/DNSPs.
  • Visit internal and external customers to develop business opportunities for Grid Software Business Unit. 
  • Agrees on budget plans related to subordinated functions and sets and monitors the achievement of respective targets.
  • Defines and ensures the implementation of function related strategies, policies and guidelines, and/or defines operational activities enabling the exploitation of (vertical and product) markets; in line with the overall business strategy of the assigned organizational unit.
  • Drives and monitors key business development programs.
  • Supports with the assigned organization an effective sales setup capitalizing synergies in collaboration within and across Siemens units (i.e. aligned setups, aligned processes, aligned incentives etc.).
  • Supports effectiveness of sales organizations via strategic initiatives / projects.
  • Acts as ultimate point of escalation to solve mission critical issues and problems.
  • Create market demand for our solution, including develop and present to customers and possible stakeholders our solution business cases, including financial aspects like ROI, CAPEx vs. OPEX, etc. 
  • Prepare technical solutions and offers, including cost calculations, and define delivery concepts of the solutions.
  • Coordination of other parties during offer preparation, software delivery and consulting. 
  • Collect the new order including complete sales process from pricing to contract negotiation.
