In our quest to revolutionize the world’s infrastructure, we are seeking a Global Strategic Marketing Manager for our SI Building Business Unit Team within our Strategic Marketing Unit
Location: This position could be located in Zug (Switzerland) or in one of our major Buildings Business Unit locations within Europe
Prerequisite is a valid work permit for the respective location. Relocation is not planned and required for this role
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Strategic Marketing Manager to join our team. This role is central to shaping how we understand, segment, and prioritize our markets globally, and to ensuring that these insights are translated into actionable guidance for multiple use cases across the organization.
Main responsibilities
- Lead the development and evolution of market segmentation models, leveraging customer interviews and qualitative insights, market studies and research, quantitative data and market intelligence
- Ensure alignment and consistency of segmentation approaches across geographies, business units, and strategic initiatives
- Translate segmentation outputs into actionable insights that support value proposition tailoring and other strategic and operational use cases
- Lead and coordinate strategic marketing projects, acting as an integrator by leveraging and synthesizing insights from market intelligence, competitive intelligence, studies, and external research
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams - such as Technical Units, Vertical Market Managers, and country organizations - to ensure alignment with overall marketing strategy and objectives
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field
- 8 years plus of professional experience in strategic marketing, business strategy, consulting, within the B2B environment
- Strong knowledge of the buildings / smart buildings industry, including market dynamics, customer ecosystem, competitive landscape, and main solution portfolios and offerings
- Proven experience in market segmentation, effectively leveraging and integrating market, customer, and competitive insights to deliver actionable outputs for practical business use case
- Good knowledge of the most relevant segmentation methodologies/ frameworks
- Experience operating in a complex, matrixed organization, engaging with multiple stakeholders and channels to market
- Proven project leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional, global team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and convincingly, including to senior management.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with additional tools supporting segmentation and analytical work.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages being a plus
