Key Responsibilities

Production & Testing
  • Perform vacuum interrupter testing, including mechanical testing, X-ray inspection, and high voltage testing
  • Execute assembly, testing, and packing activities as per defined work instructions (WI/DOP)
  • Ensure final product quality verification and release before dispatch
  • Operate furnace equipment as per standard procedures
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets within defined timelines
Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure quality compliance at all stages of manufacturing
  • Work closely with the quality team to resolve production issues
  • Record and analyze rejections or losses with proper Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in systems such as SAP/MTool
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and quality circles
Operational Excellence
  • Monitor and support OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) measurements
  • Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping across assigned areas
  • Track consumables usage and update systems regularly
  • Provide consumables forecast for procurement to ensure uninterrupted production
Safety & Environment
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with EHS, legal, and environmental norms
  • Participate in EHS audits, safety rounds, and improvement initiatives
Maintenance & Coordination
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance and equipment calibration
  • Support annual maintenance shutdown activities
  • Work closely with production planning teams to execute daily and weekly production schedules
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain manufacturing documentation such as WI, DOP, HIRA, and compliance records
  • Ensure accurate system transactions during all manufacturing stages
  • Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports for management review
  • Participate in internal and external audits and close audit observations

Team & Organizational Contribution
  • Participate in training programs related to assembly, testing, safety, and material handling
  • Support cross-functional teams such as Emergency Response, Fire Safety, and First Aid Teams
  • Act as backup for colleagues during absence when required
  • Take up additional responsibilities assigned by the department head
Key Work Areas

  • Clean Room Assembly
  • Furnace Operations
  • Testing Line (Mechanical, X-Ray & High Voltage Testing)
  • Finished Goods (FG) Warehouse
  • Argon & Nitrogen Gas Bank

Candidate Profile
  • Education: Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Vacuum Interrupter Assembly or similar manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, quality checks, and testing procedures
