We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Officer to drive and ensure our comprehensive cybersecurity programs, focusing on IT, OT, products, solutions, and services, are delivered on time and within scope. This role aligns various initiatives with Siemens' holistic approach to cybersecurity and protects Siemens’ information assets and IT/OT infrastructure.

You’ll make an impact by

  • Identifying process improvements, incorporating lessons learned, and staying informed about emerging cybersecurity trends.
  • Developing and leading detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resources for cybersecurity innovation programs.
  • Collaborating with business units to support the implementation of cybersecurity projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Facilitating technical decision-making processes and architecture review boards.
  • Communicating proactively to provide technical guidance, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Responsible for Cybersecurity activities and implementing Cybersecurity Governance as defined by CCSO and Siemens Circulars.
  • Deriving and defining the implementation of Cybersecurity strategy in your area of responsibility.
  • Supporting and implementing a holistic view on Cybersecurity, clarifying service quality and demand.
  • Steering and maintaining community collaboration and best practice sharing.
  • Advising on risk management (RM) and guiding Cybersecurity Governance implementation.
  • Representing the organization for Cybersecurity topics internally and externally.
  • Coordinating incident & vulnerability handling activities and processes.
  • Supporting overarching cybersecurity communities' knowledge sharing.
  • Guiding and managing the (virtual) cybersecurity team in the BU or segment.
  • Collaborating with Central CYS in the delivery of cybersecurity services and actively engaging with BU and Segment leadership.

This is how you'll win us over

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or software development with advanced degrees preferred.
  • Experience & Skills
    • 15+ year track record of progressive experience in network, information security, and risk management in on-premise and cloud environments.
    • 5+ years of experience in IT security management and secure software development.
    • Security management certifications like CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar.
    •  Experience in automation portfolio, product development, and related processes including cybersecurity.
    • Forward-thinking mindset with ability to anticipate future security challenges and technology trends (e.g., Post-Quantum Cryptography, AI/ML security, Digital Product Passports).
    • Long-term experience in project management, preferably within cybersecurity.
    • Extensive experience working with management and technical employees establishing both policy and implementing security tools for commercial software product development.
    • Well-connected within the security community with connections to various security expert organizations and companies.
    • Strong experience leading multiple security teams across a broad product portfolio offering.
  • Ways of working: analytical, problem-solving attitude with strong decision-making abilities and a growth mindset.
  • Languages: business proficiency in English, German is preferable
