Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Professional with 10 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing environment with exposure to end-to-end quality management including manufacturing process, supplier, and customer quality. Experience in LV/MV switchgear or similar electromechanical product environment is preferred.

 Educational Qualification.

Graduate in Mechanical / Electrical engineering.

 Additional Qualification.

  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Experience

  • 10–12 years of experience in Quality Assurance within manufacturing environment.
  • Strong exposure to end-to-end quality management, including:
    • Incoming quality
    • In-process quality
    • Supplier quality
    • Customer quality
  • Experience in LV / MV switchgear manufacturing or similar electromechanical products is preferred.

 Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and ensure effectiveness of quality assurance processes across incoming, in-process, and final stages to achieve consistent product quality.
  • Drive First-Time-Right manufacturing through defect prevention, robust quality planning, and structured problem-solving.
  • Own and drive root cause analysis and CAPA effectiveness using structured methodologies such as 8D, RCA, 7 QC tools and DMAIC.
  • Deploy and drive process improvement initiatives using PFMEA, Kaizen, Lean practices, and Quality Circles to enhance process capability and reduce defects.
  • Act as the quality interface across Production, Engineering, SCM, SQM, and Project teams, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues.
  • Own and monitor line quality KPIs, perform data-driven analysis, and drive sustained improvement actions.
  • Lead customer quality management, including handling customer complaints, audits, and critical issue resolution.
  • Support supplier quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with SQM, including participation in supplier audits, performance reviews, and verification of corrective actions.
  • Review and ensure timely closure of NCRs (internal and external) through structured follow-up with cross-functional teams.
  • Support the implementation and sustenance of Quality Management System (ISO 9001) by planning and conducting product and process audits, participating in internal audits, and ensuring adherence to QMS requirements across operations.
  • Establish and strengthen digital quality monitoring systems (dashboards, defect tracking, reporting mechanisms) for better visibility and decision-making.
  • Escalate critical and high-risk quality issues proactively to management with clear action plans and risk mitigation.
  • Promote a strong quality culture on the shop floor through training, awareness, and continuous engagement.

 Skills & Knowledge

  • Proven capability in structured problem-solving, including 8D, RCA, 7 QC tools and DMAIC, with focus on defect prevention.
  • Hands-on experience in driving PFMEA deploying Control Plan, QAP, Work Instruction and good understanding of APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC.
  • Strong ability to analyse quality data, identify trends, and drive data-based decisions.
  • Experience in customer quality handling, including complaints, audits, and technical discussions.
  • Exposure to supplier quality processes with ability to support improvement initiatives in collaboration with SQM.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (assembly, wiring, testing).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, with experience in supporting audits and ensuring QMS compliance on the shop floor.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; exposure to Power BI or dashboards preferred.
  • Ability to guide and mentor team members in resolving quality and process-related issues.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment.
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset, learning agility, and strong shop-floor orientation.
