In Egypt, Siemens Mobility is delivering one of the country’s first high-speed rail system. This landmark project, spanning approximately 2,000 kilometers, will connect 60 cities across Egypt, transforming transportation for both passengers and goods. Today, we are recruiting for a Section Engineer (North Coast) to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.
What are my responsibilities?
- Support daily site activities across alignments, stations, service points, and depots, ensuring project milestones are achieved.
- Assist Section Leads and Site Managers in monitoring construction progress and tracking priority site activities through completion.
- Verify that site teams are working with the latest approved drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Prepare weekly site progress reports, including progress updates and photographic documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to support site access, construction activities, and project interfaces.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Track, Electrification, Signaling & Communications, Depot Workshop Equipment (DWE), and Automatic Fare Collection (AFC), to facilitate smooth project execution and site handovers.
- Support the identification and resolution of site coordination issues while maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards and promote a safe working environment on site.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates and engineers with up to 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interest in railway infrastructure, station construction, civil works, fit-out activities, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
- Valid driving license and own vehicle are required.
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project is considered an advantage.
- Strong organizational, teamwork, and problem-solving skills with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Awareness of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices and willingness to work across multiple project sites throughout Egypt.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic.
