We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Cloud Architect Lead to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of our next-generation data and AI platforms on Google Cloud (GCP). The ideal candidate will be a technical leader with a proven track record of architecting and delivering robust, scalable, and secure cloud-native solutions in enterprise environments. You will be instrumental in driving our AI adoption strategy, leading complex technical projects, and mentoring a team of talented engineers. We are looking for Cloud Architect, Data and AI Platforms

You’ll make a difference by:

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a significant focus on cloud architecture, data engineering, and DevOps.
• Proven hands-on experience in designing and building solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Deep expertise in core GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, GKE, and Cloud Functions.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly with Terraform.
• Strong background in data engineering and building scalable data pipelines with tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, and similar technologies.
• Solid understanding of security principles and best practices in the cloud, including IAM, OIDC, and network security.
• Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python or Scala. C# is a plus.
• Experience with building and deploying AI and machine learning solutions, particularly with Vertex AI, Agentic AI, and RAG architectures.
• Experience in corporate IT.
• Familiarity with FinOps principles and cost optimization strategies in the cloud.
• Relevant Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer).

You’d describe yourself as:

• Architectural Leadership: Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of enterprise-grade data and AI platforms on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and resilient.
• Data & AI Platform Development: Design and oversee the implementation of advanced data engineering solutions, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses. Architect and build platforms for Generative AI, including solutions based on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agentic AI frameworks.
• Cloud-Native Engineering: Drive the development of cloud-native applications and microservices using serverless and containerized technologies such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & DevOps: Champion and implement best practices for IaC using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure. Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
• Security & Governance: Architect and enforce robust security and governance frameworks for all cloud solutions. Implement security best practices for identity and access management (IAM), data encryption (KMS), and network security. Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
• Technical Strategy & Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies in the AI and cloud space, lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives, and provide strategic recommendations to guide the evolution of our technical landscape.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data scientists, and software engineers, to deliver scalable enterprise solutions. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
