We are looking for an experienced .NET Software Engineer to join our Sales Platform development team and contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of key digital solutions used across Siemens. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, architects, business analysts, QA engineers, and product stakeholders to build scalable and reliable applications that create business value.
We value engineers who are curious, open to innovation, and eager to embrace modern software development practices, including AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
 
Your Responsibilities
• Analyze functional and technical requirements and contribute to effective software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions using the .NET ecosystem.
• Investigate defects, troubleshoot issues, and support incident resolution activities.
• Contribute to the development of scalable, maintainable, observable, and high-performing software solutions.
• Write clean, secure, and maintainable code following development standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and actively contribute to improving code quality and engineering practices.
• Support the implementation of technical solutions aligned with architectural guidelines and business requirements.
• Collaborate with QA Engineers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Delivery teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure proper documentation, maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement of software functionalities.
• Participate in system integrations, deployments, and post-release support activities.
• Actively explore and leverage AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, to improve productivity, code quality, and problem-solving efficiency.
• Contribute ideas, challenge assumptions constructively, and support a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
 
To Succeed in This Role, You'll Bring
• Proven experience developing and delivering software solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Strong knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/.NET 8+, REST APIs, and modern software development practices.
• Experience working with relational databases and software design patterns.
• Good understanding of software testing, debugging, code quality, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using TFS/Git and modern source control practices.
• Openness to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving development approaches.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or similar coding assistants to support software engineering activities.
• Growth mindset, curiosity, and willingness to continuously improve technical and collaboration skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional international teams.
• Commitment to responsible, secure, and ethical use of AI technologies.
 
Nice-to-Have
• Experience with Azure services and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with microservices-based solutions.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation.
• Previous experience in enterprise-scale application development.
