Our Electrical Products business unit has developed COMPAS, a specialized Configure, Price & Quote (CPQ) platform, as a go-to market strategy. Our Configure, Price, Quote & Order management functionalities enable sales and channel team to quickly generate accurate quotes and price for simple and complex configured power distribution products, thereby enhancing operational efficiencies and eliminating quote and order errors.

We are looking for a committed, curious, and passionate leader who will serve as a Software Product Owner for our COMPAS CPQ platform in Peachtree Corners GA. This is a hybrid role, working 2-3 days/week in office. 

This Software Product Owner will collaborate closely with product management, process optimization, knowledgebase teams and business stakeholders to define detailed product requirements for the CPQ platform modules. The candidate will also work closely with the multicultural development team to analyze, design and implement the prioritized features, and ensure timely delivery of committed product functionalities without compromising on quality.

You will make an impact with the following duties:

  • Responsible for defining and supporting the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable COMPAS CPQ modules that meets our customer, sales, and business need.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Process Optimization, Knowledgebase, and System Architecture teams to co-create whole-product solutions. Develop detailed technical designs and own implementation of the solutions.
  • Evaluate potential solutions, assess their impact, and recommend the best options to meet business goals.
  • Ensure the product quality by accurately capturing both explicit and implicit business user requirements, acceptance criteria and help define behavioral driven design (BDD) by closely working with quality team.
  • Work with business users, architects, and development team to logically divide product feature into sets of stories.
  • Elaborate stories through conversations with business users, answering development teams questions, and identify dependencies and resolve them as part of elaboration.
  • Create clear and concise documentation of requirements, processes, and solutions, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders and development teams.
  • Manage product backlog and prioritize backlog items in alignment with program increment planning and current business objectives.
  • Ensure timely delivery of product features as per the program plan.
  • Actively engage in identifying enabler features, tech debt items and maintenance tasks, and get them prioritized through the product backlog refinement.
  • Obtain feedback from business users and stakeholders, share both positive and negative feedback with team, and maximize positive aspects and devise ways to address negative aspects.
  • Provide input for program increment planning and release management.
  • Expert application of SAFe agile development methodology.

You will win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience with the following:
    • Made to order (MTO) manufacturing industry experience as a business, systems analyst or product owner role with a proven record of delivery accomplishment.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • 2+ years of experience with the following:
    • Leading multicultural development team and collaboration with groups across a large organization.
    • Strong analytical thinking/problem-solving skills with attention to detail when creating and reviewing functional and technical designs and data/process flow diagrams.
    • Excellent relationship management skills – negotiation, managing expectations, timely, appropriate, and consistent communications, conflict management.
    • Experience working in a metric-driven environment, utilizing data driven techniques and tools to ensure goals are established and met.
    • Effective communication and documentation skills, and the ability to articulate technical concepts and considerations to different audiences including software developers, business owners and executive management.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to support internal and external contacts within a multicultural environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline.
  • Experience in developing CPQ platform with CAD capabilities.
  • Experience in bidirectional interface connections with an ERP system.
  • Excellent understanding of Enterprise architecture, AWS ecosystem and Web UI development.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment.
  • Scrum product owner certification (CSPO, A-CSPO or CSP-PO)
  • Working experience with SAFe methodology.

The pay range for this position is $82,320- - $141,120 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
