Today, we are recruiting for a Railway Senior Depot Civil Interface and DWE Civil Integration Manager to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

  • You will be responsible for the interface coordination between Civil Contractor and Siemens System Depot Workshop Equipment Scope at design and construction phase in Railway High speed Turnkey Project for Green, Blue and Red Lines Depots and Service Points
  • You will coordinate the integration process of the Depot Workshop Equipment (e.g Underfloor Wheel Lathe, Washing Plant, Roof Working Platforms, Compressed Air System etc.) into the Civil Structure together with the consortium partner (e.g. track work), the involved civil companies and consultants for all depots and Service points.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating all civil related interfaces between Siemens System scope, consortium scope as far as applicable and the involved civil companies at the depots and Service points (Green, Blue and Red Lines).
  • You will interact with the Siemens project team, the Siemens Engineering lots with relevant departments inside the Siemens organization (such as Commercial, legal, Project Management), the consortium, civil companies, architect’s offices and consultants.
  • You will contribute to depot-related field design changes, non-conformance reports, requests for information, and documentation.
  • You will contribute to subjects such as negotiating contract change orders.
  • You will perform Site surveys in regard to the Depot civil interfaces for SMO requirements and highlight required changes
  • You will drive civil company and Employer Representative in case of required changes based on the site survey.
  • You will guide the civil company in regard to civil interface resolution
  • You will ensure civil interface resolution and Closure of all defined interface actions within agreed timeline with Consortium Partner, Employer and other Siemens Mobility Subsystems.
  • You will lead Civil coordination meetings for Interface resolution with other subsystems (Siemens Mobility and Consortium Partner) and Employer.
  • You will lead Civil integration and interfacing with Employer/ Consortium Partner /other Siemens Mobility Subsystems, over all phases.
  • You will support the Depot integration manager especially in regards of complex civil interfaces.
  • You will approve IF in workflows in regard to their civil content.
  • You will lead and manage the close out of civil Interface issues.
  • You will lead the review of the DWE civil interface evidence.
  • Co-responsibility for proactive achieving closure of the civil interfaces, through the interface process & Request for Information (RFI’s).
  • Report in MPR monthly on critical items and progress of Civil Depot interface status.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You bring in a completed master’s degree in civil engineering, Architectural Engineering or Construction Management. Alternatively, other Engineering degree welcome, if experience is given by long period practice in railway related projects
  • Minimum 10 years Rail transportation experience in design and construction of transit improvement projects (stations/ wayside and depots) in regard to Civil works.
  • We presume knowledge in the areas of offer and interface management as well as tender and contract analysis, while further knowledge in track construction / system knowledge railway is desirable.
  • Furthermore, you have technical assessment competence for planning and system design of structural and civil engineering works for railway infrastructure (e.g. engineering structures and associated railway installations).
  • Good command of spoken and written Arabic, English (Business Level) round off your profile.
  • Willingness for business trips at home and abroad is required
  • Team leadership and mediation skills between teams & between cultural differences
  • Excellent communication abilities combined with strong interpersonal skills
  • High level of customer and quality orientation together with strong abilities in consulting and implementation & keeping the siemens major project target.
  • Handling risks while providing requested advanced civil depot integration Design Requirements.
  • Providing input for project letters & supporting contract manager to reserve & protect Siemens legal & contractual position.
