Introduction
As the Country Communications head for Siemens Pakistan, you will be the sole strategic lead responsible for shaping and executing the company’s communications vision in the country. You will drive Siemens’ brand narrative, manage its reputation, build influential media and digital relationships, and support leadership positioning with full ownership of the communications function.
This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned communications professional to lead integrated storytelling efforts, amplify Siemens’ presence in Pakistan, and align local communications with global business objectives. You will also play a critical role in social media engagement and crisis communications, ensuring Siemens Pakistan maintains a strong, trusted voice in both steady and sensitive times.
What are my responsibilities?
- Own the development and execution of an integrated, innovative communications strategy that positions Siemens as a trusted industry leader in Pakistan.
- Manage all communication outputs, including press releases, executive speeches, presentations, social media content, and corporate storytelling.
- Serve as the primary communications advisor to Siemens Pakistan’s senior leadership, helping enhance their public profile and visibility in key external forums.
- Plan and implement a comprehensive content calendar aligned with both local priorities and global communications guidelines.
- Lead media relations by cultivating and maintaining strong, strategic relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets across print, digital, broadcast, and social platforms.
- Manage Siemens Pakistan’s social media presence, including content planning, audience engagement, platform monitoring, and relationship building with key digital stakeholders and influencers.
- Oversee crisis and issue management by developing and executing timely and effective communications responses in sensitive situations to protect Siemens' reputation.
- Collaborate closely with business units, sales teams, and regional communications counterparts to ensure messaging consistency and maximize impact.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to country leadership.
- Manage communication budgets and resources effectively, ensuring timely delivery of all communications activities.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in corporate communications, with a proven track record in managerial or lead role.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage end-to-end communications functions within a corporate or multinational environment.
- Proven experience in developing and executing crisis communication plans and managing reputational issues in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Extensive media network and deep understanding of the Pakistani media landscape across TV, print, digital, and radio.
- Strong bilingual communication skills, including native-level proficiency in English and Urdu.
- Exceptional writing and editorial skills with the ability to craft compelling and audience-specific narratives across multiple platforms.
- Expertise in digital communications, social media engagement, content marketing, and content distribution tactics.
- Strategic mindset with strong project and budget management capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate across diverse internal teams and external partners.
