Position Overview:

As the Group Lead/Manufacturing Technician at our McClellan Park location, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence. You’ll lead efforts to define efficient picking processes, develop clear work instructions, and coordinate production schedules. Your leadership will support continuous improvement in warehouse operations and process control, directly contributing to enhanced product quality. A strong focus on safety and adherence to protocols will be essential to your success in this impactful role.


What your day may look like:

  • Define key picking steps, sequences, and durations, and set up work scopes per station or cell to streamline operations
  • Craft standardized work instructions that ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Coordinate work schedules to meet and exceed operational goals
  • Drive warehouse improvements, implement complex process changes, and integrate cutting-edge technology
  • Provide critical process control guidance to logistics, production, maintenance, and quality control teams, enhancing product quality and dimensional accuracy
  • Champion safety by ensuring all measures are meticulously followed


What you will need to be successful:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams in these settings
  • Demonstrated hands-on approach to problem-solving and implementing countermeasures within your areas of responsibility


We would be impressed if you had:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in planning and supporting the launch of new production lines in low-speed production environments (e.g., rail, aviation/aerospace, naval, heavy equipment)
  • Relevant work experience in the rail industry, preferably in light rail, heavy rail, or related production
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems
  • Hands-on experience in customer service, maintenance, or aftermarket businesses and technologies within the rail industry

This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The hourly range for this role is $24.00-$28.00. This is a first shift position. The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
