Transform the everyday with us!
Siemens Digital Industries Automation is a leader in industrial automation and digitalization. Our technologies enable customers to accelerate their digital transformation by helping them collect, interpret, and leverage the vast amounts of data generated through the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). This unlocks previously unrecognized manufacturing potential, reveals new insights, and enables solutions that seemed unimaginable before.
We are looking for rising and recent graduates for our 12-month Digital Industrial Automation Sales Development Program. This position is based in Alpharetta, GA (after one month of training in Milford, OH).
This program is an immersive development pathway designed to prepare you for impactful roles within Siemens Digital Industries Automation by equipping you with essential tools, strategies, and technical knowledge for industrial sales. Upon successful completion of the program, you will transition to a designated full-time role in Inside Sales or Field Sales, working with end customers, system integrators, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) through both direct engagement and strategic distribution partnerships.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Actively engaging in intensive training, workshops, and joint customer development activities to build a strong understanding of our history, values, business units, technical portfolio, and industrial markets and channels, gaining valuable field experience along the way
- Applying a client-centric approach to understanding customer needs, guiding decision-making towards tailored Siemens solutions through compelling storytelling
- Developing and maintaining excellent communication skills (including active listening, open dialogue, and digital fluency) and a passion for our innovative products, solutions, and services in order to curate positive and meaningful customer engagements.
- Cultivating strong internal and external business relationships, collaborating across the vast Siemens Ecosystem (e.g., Field Sales, Product Marketing, Distributor Sales Team) and leveraging partnerships with US distribution channels and industry associations.
- Utilizing various tools and learned key sales processes to efficiently manage, monitor, and track opportunities on a timely basis, as well as documenting and research customer information.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Available to start full-time employment in January 2026.
- Bachelor’s degree: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Electrical Engineering, or related majors.
- Must graduate no earlier than December 2024 and no later than December 2025 (rising/recent graduates only).
- Strong interest and willingness to learn about manufacturing technology and industrial markets.
- Resourceful, true problem-solvers who challenge themselves to find the most effective and efficient solutions to complex challenges.
- Desire to have an impact on the future and contribute to the success of the company, our customers, and the world.
- Must be willing and able to commit to the required relocations: first to Milford, OH for one month of training, followed by 11 months in Alpharetta, GA, and then final placement at one of the designated Digital Industries Hubs after the program. Relocation assistance is provided to hires who must relocate more than 50 miles from their permanent address for each required move.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without the need for current or future company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Business minor or prior business-related coursework and business savvy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills.
- Strong digital fluency and technical acumen, enabling effective communication of complex product information.
- Client-centric mentality with a focus on understanding and meeting customer needs.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset, adaptable to varied work environments.
- Basic understanding of products for sales, or a strong capacity to rapidly develop this knowledge.
