The Siemens DI Sales organization ideally focuses on providing solutions tailored to the specific needs of companies operating across a multitude of discrete, process, and hybrid industries. The Xcelerator Deployment organization plays a crucial role in understanding needs of forward-thinking customers, positioning Siemens as a technology leader to drive digital transformation today and tomorrow for and with our customers, aligning the value of innovative and evolving Siemens solutions with customer pain points, and deploying a combination of existing, evolving and exploring product portfolio elements (HW, SW, Services) as functional solutions at customer sites, continuously learning and constantly improving.

As we embark on an ambitious journey of digital transformation, we are seeking a dynamic Systems Engineer to spearhead our Digital Transformation Pioneering & Deployment team. This pivotal role is at the heart of our mission to redefine our Industrial Operations X Innovation Portfolio and develop and deploy novel Enterprise Solution Architectures with innovation customers and partners, driving innovation through digital excellence and collaboration.

We are looking for a Systems Engineer-Infrastructure-Xcelerator. Deployment This position is remotely based in the United States.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Execute technical incubation and validation of deployment projects, working closely with cross-functional teams and external integration partners to ensure timely and successful implementation.
  • Support the rollout of novel solutions to customers, driving customer success and adoption

                    -Design and implement industrial edge computing solutions for real-time data processing and analysis

                    -Integrate AI-powered systems with existing industrial infrastructure

                    -Deploy and configure Copilot solutions for industrial automation

                    -Develop and maintain SCADA system integrations

                    -Create intuitive UI/UX designs for industrial control interfaces

                    -Lead technical requirement gathering and solution architecture design

                    -Ensure seamless data flow between legacy systems and modern platforms

  • Make a difference for our customers and Siemens by applying innovative technologies to industrial operations
  • Develop and deliver demonstrations to customers
  • Manage and own customer co-innovation by establishing a trusted technical expert relationship with strategic partners/customers.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, computer science, or IT with a focus on automation, simulation, AI/ML.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing processes and production operations in a variety of manufacturing industries. Experience with Siemens Industrial Automation products
  • 5+ years of Systems & Application Engineering, technical consulting, assessment, and customer co-innovation experience, incl. proof of concepts, defining requirements and scope, as well as hands-on deployment projects.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in implementing complex automation solutions involving:

                    -Industrial Edge computing platforms

                    -AI/ML deployment in industrial settings

                    -Siemens Platforms-Win CC Unified or OA, Mendix, Industrial Edge, or SCADA experience.

                    -Experience with industrial data integration using protocols like MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, or similar.

                    -Deep experience of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • 5+ years of experience in programming skills in at least two: Python, C++, C#, JavaScript, scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell
  • 5+ years of experience with the following technical skills:

                   -Understanding of industrial networks and TCP/IP architectures

                   -Experience with industrial databases and time-series data handling

  • 5+ years of experience with Linux system administration, shell scripting, and system-based management.
  • 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-code, GitOps workflows, DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD)
  • 5+ years of experience in scaling customer data transactions and scaling for future growth
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25% (domestic/international).
  • Must currently reside in the continental USA. Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States and will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying and managing industrial infrastructure.
  • Experience deploying systems in resource-constrained edge environments (e.g. Siemens IPC's, Raspberry Pi, Intell NUC)
  • Proficiency in RUST, async programming, and memory management.
  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise Kubernetes platforms (e.g., RedHat, OpenShift) or container orchestration and microservices deployment.
  • Experience or significant exposure to real-time workloads and message buses (e.g. Zenoh, DDS, NATS)

  • The pay range for this position is $89,670-$184,320 and an annual incentive target of 10-15%. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

The pay range for this position is $89,670 - $184,320 annually with a target incentive of of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
