The Technical Project Manager will be leading highly motivated cross functional teams through the New Product Development Process, from project initiation approval through first sales to customers. This position will lead projects with cross-functional teams, working directly with customers, product management, engineering, supply chain management and manufacturing. You will mentor team members, resolve problems and be accountable for project-related decisions. Projects will range from multi-year new platform projects to minor enhancement projects that will complete in weeks.
You have strong project management experience in "technical" business environments. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or another related field with up to 7 years of related experience. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly and fabrication for electro-mechanical devices and components. Excellent verbal and written language skills for generating project schedules, progress reports and other project related documentation.
As a Technical Project Manager, you will:
- Project Team Leader: Simultaneously lead multiple New Product Development projects for customer specific and general market projects.
- Interface with global development teams and suppliers.
- Develop internal project plans that clearly articulate project strategy, scope, financials, and schedule.
- Own Project Reporting communication to both Management and Customers.
- Perform the Project Management function: Manage Project Change Control and Decision Documentation.
- Lead Project Plan development, management, and closure
- Own and develop Macro Project Schedules and understand and hold accountable Functional Team Members supporting Micro Schedules.
- Lead and mentor team members in project management principles, product development processes, risk management, issue resolution, decision making, etc.
- Proactively identify, document, and execute risk reduction activities to minimize Project Risks associated with Cost, Quality, and/or Timing that could negatively affect Project Plan achievement.
- Work with Suppliers: Ensure that they meet Siemens' expectation for timing, cost and quality in support of the Project Plan.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or another related field
- Must be able to demonstrate:
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects of varying scope
- Written language skills for generating progress reports and engineering specifications
- Ability to use personal computers and software tools
- 5% travel may be required
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSME
- PMP and/or Agile certification
- Working knowledge of SAP, TeamCenter, IBM Jazz, Siemens PLM
- Experience in mechanical laboratory, other hands-on environments desirable

The pay range for this position is $82,538 - $141,494 annually with a target incentive of of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
