How You’ll Make an Impact 

System Design and Integration: Develop/design/select battery systems specifically for industrial and maritime applications, ensuring compatibility with existing power networks and equipment 
Performance Analysis: Analyze the performance of battery systems under various operational conditions typical in industrial and maritime settings, including temperature variations, humidity, and vibration.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure that battery systems meet safety standards and regulatory requirements specific to maritime and industrial environments, including certifications for hazardous locations.
Battery Fault prediction: Develop analytical models using historical data and train them using live data to identify condition monitoring and also predictive solutions.
Support R&D projects from conception through implementation, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, including training on battery system and extended systems’ operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Battery product selection: Engage in product selection activities based on market research, innovative and improved battery technologies, focusing on enhancing energy density, cycle life, and sustainability for industrial and maritime applications.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and compliance reports, to support project deliverables and regulatory submissions.

What You Bring

Education: A graduate or postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of proven experience in cell technology, optimized design and development of battery packs,  battery technology, energy storage systems, or power systems, with a focus on industrial and maritime applications.
Skills: Strong understanding of electrochemistry, power electronics, and energy management systems; proficiency in simulation and modeling software.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in battery technology, maritime safety, or energy systems may be advantageous.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Design and Simulation Tools:
o CAD Software: Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for designing battery enclosures and layouts.
o Simulation Software: Experience with simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, or COMSOL Multiphysics for modeling battery performance and thermal management.
Battery Management System (BMS) Tools:
o BMS Software: Familiarity with Battery Management System software for monitoring and managing battery performance, state of charge, and health.
o Data Acquisition Systems: Experience with data acquisition tools for collecting and analyzing performance data from battery systems during testing.
Testing and Validation Equipment:
o Battery Testing Equipment: Knowledge of battery testing equipment such as cyclers, impedance analyzers, and environmental chambers for performance and safety testing.
o Safety Testing Tools: Experience with tools for conducting safety assessments, including thermal runaway tests and short-circuit testing.
Programming and Data Analysis:
o Programming Languages: Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB for developing algorithms and analyzing data.
o Data Analysis Tools: Experience with data analysis software like Excel, R, or Tableau for interpreting test results and performance metrics.
Industry-Specific Knowledge:
o Regulatory Standards: Understanding of industry standards and regulations relevant to battery systems in industrial and maritime applications, such as IEC, UL, and DNV GL.
o Energy Management Systems: Familiarity with energy management systems and software used in industrial and maritime settings for optimizing energy use and battery integration.
