Telecommunication Engineer – Siemens Smart Infrastructure

Your Impact and Responsibilities:
• Lead the installation and commissioning of communication systems tailored to customer requirements.
• Ensure maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunication equipment at substations.
• Participate in call duty and regular troubleshooting operations.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, protocols, and approval documentation for internal teams and customers.
• Create and update design documentation via AutoCAD.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, cable plans, and site layouts accurately.
• Coordinate telemetry installation works in new substations, including panels, batteries, chargers, and cabling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project delivery and high-quality customer outcomes.
• Monitor and recommend improvements for telecommunication systems and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices within the industry.
Your Success is Grounded In:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunication technologies within power grids.
• Hands-on experience with PDH, SDH, MPLS-TP, routing, and switching.
• Knowledge of Infinera MPLS-TP & TNMS, Digital Inter-trip equipment, Siemens L3/L2 equipment, and Fortinet Firewalls.
• Strong technical documentation skills and ability to translate plans into actionable site tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational abilities.
• Experience working in international or multi-cultural teams.
• Comfortable working on-site in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset with a drive to learn and adapt to new technologies.
