The Learning Manager is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team of instructional designers, eLearning developers, learning consultants, learning project managers, and technical trainers to deliver high-quality learning solutions that enable combination of large-scale business transformation programs and short-term projects.
This role combines strategic leadership, operational excellence, people management, and business development. The Learning Manager ensures the successful delivery of learning projects, builds strong customer and stakeholder relationships, drives business growth, and fosters a culture of innovation and agility within the team.
You’ll make a difference by:
- People and Team Management
- Lead and manage a diverse team of learning professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Define clear goals, expectations, and success metrics for the team to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability.
- Identify and address skill gaps, ensuring capability enhancement aligned with evolving business needs.
- Manage resource planning, performance reviews, and career development discussions for team members.
- Customer and Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers and internal stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships and understand client business priorities to design and deliver impactful learning solutions.
- Manage stakeholder communication, expectations, and escalations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Partner with cross-functional and global teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
- Business Development and Growth
- Drive business growth within the assigned portfolio and identify opportunities beyond existing engagements.
- Lead sales and business development activities to create proposals, sales pitches, and negotiate contracts.
- Develop and maintain a demand pipeline to ensure predictable business flow and revenue generation.
- Contribute to the overall sales strategy and revenue targets for the learning services function.
- Delivery and Operational Excellence
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of learning projects, ensuring adherence to quality, schedule, and budget.
- Apply agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices to enhance delivery effectiveness.
- Ensure learning solutions align with transformation program objectives and organizational strategies.
- Monitor project health, identify risks early, and implement corrective actions as required.
- Establish and maintain operational dashboards, delivery metrics, and governance mechanisms.
- Strategic Leadership and Innovation
- Partner with transformation and capability leaders to shape the learning strategy for key business initiatives.
- Stay abreast of emerging learning technologies, digital tools, and industry best practices.
- Encourage innovation in learning design and delivery, including adoption of eLearning, blended, microlearning, and gamified approaches.
- Global Collaboration and Engagement
- Work effectively with teams and stakeholders across geographies, ensuring cultural sensitivity and strong collaboration.
- Drive global consistency in learning standards, processes, and learner experience.
- Foster alignment and synergy between regional and global delivery teams.

- Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, learning & development, business management, or related discipline.
- 10–15 years of professional experience in the learning industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end learning solutions for enterprise or transformation programs.
- Experience in managing teams across multiple geographies is preferred.
- Familiarity with learning authoring tools, LMS/LXP platforms, and digital content technologies.
