Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is hiring a Commercial Project Manager for our Sacramento, CA plant within Rolling Stock, Manufacturing North America. This role plays a critical part in supporting both current and future production backlog.
As Commercial Project Manager, you’ll be fully accountable for the commercial and financial performance of assigned projects — from execution through delivery. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, especially Production Managers, to ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet our high standards for quality.
Success in this role requires strong multitasking skills, proactive decision-making, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What your day may look like:
- Collaborate with the Project Team monthly to review the status of project deliverables.
 - Identify and implement appropriate corrective actions, both internally and externally.
 - Monitor and control manufacturing costs associated with the assigned platform.
 - Conduct deviation analyses for OIC, EAC, and ETC, and support necessary adjustments.
 - Lead planning and reporting activities including monthly closings, forecasts, and budget planning; identify key drivers impacting manufacturing performance.
 - Own and prepare commercial offers submitted to Rolling Stock Sales, including change orders.
 - Partner with cross-functional teams — including Factory Management, Production, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Business Controlling, Enterprise Scheduling, Order Management, and Performance Controlling — to drive continuous visibility on bottlenecks impacting project development and budget achievements.
 
To thrive in this role, you have:
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred majors include Finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting.
 - Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in financial planning, accounting, and finance, with a strong ability to deliver strategic insights through financial metrics.
 - Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred); strong business modeling capabilities.
 - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
 - Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile work environment.

This position in located in Sacramento, CA. The salary range for this position is $122,298 - $165,240 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.

The pay range for this position is $122,298.00 - $165,240.00 annually with a target incentive of of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
