Are you passionate about bridging the gap between complex financial regulations and cutting-edge IT solutions? Do you thrive in an environment where precision, collaboration, and continuous learning are key? We're looking for a dedicated Regulatory Reporting IT Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with global financial standards.

As a Regulatory Reporting IT Analyst, you will be at the heart of our financial compliance efforts. Your primary mission will be to interpret intricate regulatory requirements from European and Singaporean authorities and translate them into concrete data and IT system specifications. You'll be instrumental in leveraging our existing reporting tools, collaborating closely with business operations, and ensuring the robust management and documentation of our applications. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a dynamic environment, acting as a vital link between business needs, technical implementation, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Interpretation: Analyze and thoroughly understand regulatory reporting requirements issued by European and Singaporean financial supervisory bodies.
  • Requirement Translation: Convert complex regulatory mandates into clear, actionable data requirements and technical specifications for IT systems.
  • IT Tool Expertise: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the IT landscape for regulatory reporting, including various source systems and dedicated reporting platforms.
  • Reporting Tool Management: Expertly utilize, configure, and provide support for key reporting tools such as Abacus from Regnology and OneSumX from Wolters Kluwer.
  • Business Collaboration: Work in close partnership with business operations teams to ensure that all reporting processes are accurate, efficient, and compliant.
  • Audit Support: Provide robust support during internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are readily available and accurate.
  • Liaison & Communication: Act as a critical interface between business stakeholders, external vendors (e.g., Regnology, Wolters Kluwer), and internal infrastructure teams to facilitate smooth communication, problem-solving, and project delivery.
  • Application Management: Take ownership of Application Management tasks, including ensuring comprehensive and compliant documentation of processes, managing Identity and Access Management (IAM), and addressing cybersecurity topics relevant to reporting systems.

 Required Skills

To excel in this role, you'll need a blend of strong technical acumen and excellent interpersonal skills.

Technical & Domain Expertise

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial regulatory reporting frameworks, particularly those from European (e.g., EBA, ECB) and Singaporean (e.g., MAS) regulators.
  • Data Analysis & Modeling: Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into precise data models, data dictionaries, and data flow specifications.
  • IT Systems Acumen: Familiarity with financial IT systems, data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and reporting architectures.
  • Application Management Principles: (tbd) Knowledge of ITIL principles, process documentation best practices, IAM concepts, and fundamental cybersecurity practices.
  • Audit Preparedness: Experience in preparing for and supporting IT audits, including gathering evidence and explaining technical processes.
  • Technical Documentation: Strong ability to create clear, concise, and compliant technical and process documentation

Interpersonal & Professional Attributes

  • Analytical Thinking: Exceptional ability to dissect complex regulatory texts and identify their impact on IT systems and data.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive and methodical approach to identifying issues, troubleshooting, and proposing effective, sustainable solutions.
  • Communication Excellence: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice-versa.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: A natural team player who thrives in collaborative environments, building strong relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and thorough approach to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all aspects of work.
  • Proactiveness & Initiative: A self-starter who takes ownership, anticipates needs, and drives tasks to successful completion without constant supervision.
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes, new technologies, and changing business priorities.
