We are looking for: Lead Electrical Engineer (Project Engineer Systems / MV Switchgears Product Engineering),

You’ll make an impact by:

·       Analyze customers’ technical specifications, one-line diagrams, and schematic diagrams regarding the application of Siemens MV switchgear products, along with associated protection and control systems, and design appropriate product solutions to meet the customers’ expectations in a cost-effective and timely manner.

·       Independently engages with customers during Order Kick-off meetings, effectively facilitating technical discussions, securing necessary approvals, and aligning project milestones.

·       Work independently to create all documents for customer approval and manufacture Medium Voltage switchgears.

·       Utilize the engineering configurator software to prepare one-line drawings, control schematics, and bill of materials with a high degree of accuracy.

·       Ability to take complete technical ownership of System Projects from inception to project handover as a dependable partner with the customers, while guiding a team of jr. engineers, designers, and drafters.

·       Provide factory support during the manufacture of your projects to ensure that the final deliverables are true to your design.

·       Expertise and understanding of fault level calculations and Switchgear ratings.

·       Be a subject matter expert, sharing knowledge of the product and process to help others on the team achieve their goals.

·       Lead efforts to improve team processes and tools to drive up overall team efficiency.

·       Treat all Siemens information and customer information confidentially.

Use your skills to move the world forward!

·       Masters / bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

·       10+ years of proven experience working with the design/configuration of electrical power distribution products and systems.

·       An advanced degree may be substituted for 5+ years of experience.

·       5+ years of Electrical CAD design/drafting experience with protection and control or engineering firms

·       Demonstrated experience mentoring jr. engineers with effective knowledge sharing techniques.

·       Proven track record of innovative thinking and process improvement.

·       Strong working knowledge of standard protection and control technologies used in medium voltage power distribution products with proven ability to share this knowledge with others. This may include knowledge of SCADA Systems, IEC 61850, and DNP3.

·       Ability to analyze customers’ technical specifications regarding the application of protection and control systems and apply appropriate product solutions to meet the customers’ expectations in a cost-effective and timely manner.

·       Ability to read, understand, and evaluate electrical schematics to identify errors or potential improvements.

·       Experience working with and managing bills of material in an ERP system, preference given for experience with SAP.

·       Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done on time and with high quality.

·       Ability to multitask and manage large workloads and business demands.

·       Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.

·       Experience with Electrical and 2D Layout drawing tools such as AutoCAD, E-Cad, E-Base, Visio, schematic preparation, EPLAN, etc.

·       Travel Required – Less than 10%..
