Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer (B.Tech/B.E.) with 5–10 years of hands-on experience in site erection, commissioning, and fabrication for power plant projects. The candidate should have practical expertise in Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) systems — particularly in cement and steel plant applications — as well as biomass-based and gas-fired boiler installations. A strong understanding of mechanical design, equipment installation, and site execution for power plant mechanical systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Erection, Commissioning & Fabrication
Lead and supervise on-site erection, alignment, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment such as boilers, turbines, piping networks, and auxiliary systems.
Oversee fabrication and installation of piping, pressure parts, and structural supports in compliance with design and quality standards.
Ensure proper testing, balancing, and vibration analysis of rotating and static equipment.
Coordinate site activities, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and project schedules.
2. Mechanical Design & Technical Support
Review and interpret P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and equipment layouts.
Support design validation of piping systems, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and pumps.
3. Power Plant Systems – WHR, Biomass & Gas Boilers
Lead or support the installation and integration of Waste Heat Recovery systems in cement and steel plants.
Provide technical expertise for biomass-based and gas-fired boiler projects, including start-up and commissioning.
Ensure seamless mechanical integration with existing plant systems and utilities.
4. Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all work complies with ASME, IBR, API, ISO, ASTM, and relevant international and national standards.
Review QA/QC documentation, including welding procedures, NDT reports, and test certificates.
Implement and monitor HSE standards and risk assessment procedures at the site.
5. Vendor Coordination & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Liaise with vendors, contractors, and fabrication shops to ensure timely supply and installation of equipment.
Work closely with civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for coordinated project execution.
Participate in design and safety reviews, including HAZOP and FMEA sessions.
